Week 4- Suburban Morning

I was driving around at about seven in the morning in my hometown when I saw this house that I admire.  It's got a great shadow and sun rising look that made me really want to take a photo of it.  The source of light is identified in the right edge and the effect that it put on the tree to create the shadow on the ground is distinct.  I really liked the transition in the sky of the colors from a very nice blue that increases in light intensity which changes the color to bright white.  I'd like to recreate the shadow effect with a gobo that is angled so that the beam hits the floor elongated.  The emotion I see behind this is definitely tranquil.  It's a peaceful suburban morning, the day is about to start.

  1. Nice image and commentary!! Love the way you can tell the sun is rising just by the long lengthy shadows and clear, bright quality of the sunlight and the sky. Love the reflections in the window too! Such a clear source and directionality...great detail!
