Not the best quality picture, but I was driving and the sky was just PERFECT and I had to try and capture it. I love the dark grey/blue colour of the clouds contrasted with the soft yellow of the light beams coming down through them and the dark silhouettes of the trees. This scene feels majestic and cathartic; like a happy ending after an epic battle or the calm after a storm.
Epic is a great word for this picture, and it's so funny but both my boyfriend and I took a picture of this exact same sun flare peaking through the sky on separate occasions too. It was awe-inspiring and almost forced a moment of stillness. the way the separate beams of light flared out from one sun source over the city was beautiful :)
