Week 2 Jenisse Castillo

I took this photo a couple days ago while leaving to school. As I was walking to my car, I stopped to look at the sky and noticed that there was a direct split in the clouds. I noticed that the left side of the sky was dark and gloomy, while the other side was bright and sunny. It was a moment where I took some time to reflect on my life. I felt like the sky that day, gloomy but bright. There are aspects of all our lives where we all feel like we are stuck in this dark and gloomy side, but if we keep moving forward we will get to the part that is bright and sunny.
This would be an interesting concept to take to the stage. Using different colored gels and intensities to achieve the two distinct levels of brightness. Gobo's could be used as well to give the cloud pattern.

  1. Panoramic or fish eyed lens? Either way I'm digging the widescreen contrast! Love the blue and grey. Two emotional colors, with bright cool white sunlight trying to make its way through to separate the two from a temporary feud :) Awesome!

  2. lovely image!! Really great wide angled view of the passing storm and future brightness...or is it the sun that is fading and the storm approaching? :) Really great commentary on the emotion of this beautiful organic setting. Makes one feel really small in a comforting way.
