Week 4- Jenisse Castillo

I took this photo right outside of Segerstrom Hall after watching Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella. I had spent the entire day with my sister and mother enjoying their company. As I watched the show, I found myself starring at the lights and analyzing what was being used. It made me put things in perspective, thinking what I would do if I were to design that show.  As we walked out of the theater, I  was staring at all the lights we passed on the way back to the car. I turned back around at the Hall and looked at it for a second. At that moment, I saw the lights that illuminated the building. As I looked closer, I saw the lights inside and the scattering people just outside exiting the theater. It gave me a feeling of serenity. A building that brought so many people together, and was filled with chattering people, became silent. A building that once had thousands of people suddenly became... empty. Despite the lights that were lighting the inside the stillness of it made it seem dark. It was peaceful, a moment to reflect.

  1. Aww such a familiar sight for me! I work next door to this beautiful unique building all the time! Even the way it's lit, with rich gold tones and multiple sources sparkling against the glass makes it feel fancy! Glad you were looking at lights!! :) haha
