Week 2: Remembering good times. -Britnee
I took this picture in San Diego about 2 weeks ago during high noon. And although you can see the rays of sun high in the sky, its still a darker picture. I loved how the sun hit the water as a reflection so it makes everything else look dark and silhouette like. The intensity of the light hitting the water is way higher than the light in the sky in this picture. This is definitely an example of downlight and backlight working together. Also love the sky with a pale off-white (almost yellow) and the bright blue and closer to the sun rays, its almost lavender. The only scene I could think of using this lighting was the beginning a story like a flash forward or a flashback. Something about the lighting seems unreal and more nostalgic to me.

Beautiful picture and great commentary! Love that intense beam of light and how everything directly under the sun and the reflection off the water is so bright! Weird how sometimes the camera can really create such a contrast between light and dark. The silhouetted earth is really great! Nice!
