week 10 hike

I took this picture this past week on a hike. It has been a long while since I’ve actually gone on a hike. As my cousin and I were hiking on the trail it was very peaceful. The sun setting, no one around, it was quiet, and all you can hear really was us breathing so hard because we were out of breath. We stopped to rest and that’s when I took this picture. After looking at this picture, geez I never realized how much we pollute our air. I enjoy this picture because I like the colors the sun creates not only in the sky but on the ground too. Looking at the flowers on the ground, it starts from the dark and then there is a ray of sunshine giving it this beige looking color. The colors in the sky I see have layers. Starting from the bottom there is this layer of gray, which I’m assuming is all out polluted air, then there is some gray/black clouds, and clear skies. As I was up on this hill, I felt comfortable, this would be a place where I can sit for long hours and relax or even study. If I learned anything about these blogs is that I need to appreciate the simple things. Writing these blogs really made me think outside the box and connect with my emotions through natural light.

  1. Ooooh what a pretty view! And a great way to celebrate making it up the hill! Love the way the golden sunlight is highlighting the grass! So pretty!
