Week 7 - Obsession - Caffeination

My most recent of unhealthy boojie obsessions is a small place on a small corner in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo. This place lures me in and welcomes me with one of the gods' gift to man in the form of a little brown coffee bean. The sole reason I come in is for their $6 Kenya Coffee Flight. Being an obsessed coffee connoisseur after working at a café I have come to find that this obsession leaves me nearly dry of all funds. The elegance of this establishment is matched only by the same delicacy of which the baristas care for in their meticulous preparation of their selection of sweet ambrosia. The lights behind the bottom counter of the bar look welcoming as any pedestrian walking along the sidewalk may look in at the glowing panel. This place calls to me, welcoming me, making me feel at home. As I look around I get a steampunk vibe. I feel welcomed in this place where a talented lighting designer must have been hired to create this ambiance. A bad ass designer such as my super awesome lighting professor over at Cal State L.A.

  1. HA nice Kelvin. What about the lighting is obsessive? The high class "boojie" feeling? Love the sparkle and reflections in the glasses and of course that lighting underneath the table. Nice!
