Week 8- bright shadows
So I was gifted flowers to start a little garden where I paint. It had been a cloudy day but the sun came out in the afternoon and highlighted the flowers nicely showing all the texture. I love the shadows casted, reminding me of a gobo. If the flowers were a little more muted, the lighting with the shadows could work for a film nor style. The angle is side light and a little harsh so I'd use a leko to mimick this look. The color is a little warm so depending on the light itself, a gel may not be needed as well. For film noir the timing would be slow and steady to add to the dramatic nature of the style.

Love the streaky quality of the sunlight and the very distinct angle at which the sun is lighting the lovely flowers! Very crisp and clean! Nice!
