My final EXTRA CREDIT PHOTO BLOG POST.
This picture was taken at
the Calvary Cemetery Church, it is the entrance. I really like the color of
blue in the sky. So different, the shadows and the green tress. I like the
contrast of the beige/white buildings. I would use gobos to create the shadows
with the trees. The blue in the sky is something that is different so much
contrasts with blues in the sky, they can be tint, vibrant blues, this kind of
blue looks more solid blue, it’s in the middle of light and dark blue. I like that
it is a very clear day. The emotions I get from this is WEDDING DAY and A RITES OF
PASSAGE. This would be perfect for a time of graduation or a rites of passage,
it would be great to take photos for memoires. The emotional response that I
get that screams wedding day its because of the beige color of the building and
the white cross on the top. I also get that this location could also be part of
a front entrance of a wealthy elite high school. I like this building, it was
build during the 1890’s so it looks old and it reminiscent of old ye
yester times. The church building is also part of the Roman Catholic
Archdiocese of Los Angeles, so all the buildings are properly kept and that is
why this picture looks very pristine and clear, and clean. I get a vibe that is
very high elite and wealthy.

Nice Carla! love that shadow by the staircase that tells us where the sun is coming from...even if it's pretty subtle! Great work!
